Leon Fleisher Academy Summer Strings Program

July 13–19, 2026 | American University, Washington, DC

Daily: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM | Final Concert: July 19

Our Philosophy

Our string program is built on the belief that musicians grow most deeply through shared music-making. Chamber music lies at the heart of our curriculum, encouraging students to listen, lead, collaborate, and learn from one another in a focused and supportive environment.

Guided by a dedicated faculty of musicians and teachers, students engage in daily rehearsals, coaching, and group classes that emphasize musical curiosity, technical growth, and artistic responsibility within a vibrant learning community.

We invite motivated young string players to join us for a seven-day immersive summer program centered on chamber music and collaborative learning.
