The Future Artist Program

The Future Artists program participants will have the unique opportunity to meet and learn from today’s greatest artists, get inspired by legendary musicians, and share their experiences with peers. The participants will have the chance to fully immerse themselves in music, as well as enjoy all that Washington, DC, has to offer in their free time.


The program features the following classes

  • Ear Training and Music theory:

    Through listening, discussion, and musical games, the participants will have a chance to discover the building blocks of music and how they fit together to create a story.

  • Music Appreciation and Music History:

    In these sessions, participants will take a broad look into the history of various musical eras and their defining characteristics, meet a few historical figures and explore their legacy; discuss the importance of music and what it is that it brings to humanity.

  • Composition and Improvisation: These classes will give the participants a creative outlet and let them apply what they have learned in Ear Training and Music Theory.

  • Chamber Music

  • Each participant will receive two individual piano lessons each week

  • An opportunity to perform in our final recital

  • Academy Certificate

*Private lessons and chamber coachings are scheduled individually for each student.

Tuition:$920 per session

Program Notes

Final class rotations and lesson times will be confirmed once enrollment is complete.

Application Deadline: April 25, 2026

Applicants must submit:

  • Completed online application form

  • A video recording consisting of one or two contrasting pieces of their choice

  • Application fee: $120 (non-refundable)

    Applications are reviewed by faculty as they are received. Applicants will receive a decision within approximately 10–14 days of submitting a complete application.

    Applications received after April 25 will be considered on a rolling basis, pending available space.
